Member Involvement
As we wind down the golf season, please keep in mind the importance of supporting the club in the off-season social events, football weekends, trivia, etc Keep watch on the social calendar and Kyle's email for those dates and details. AJs also has been posting food specials for Friday night, apps, and lunches. Please like our Facebook page and stay tuned for more specials: https://www.facebook.com/indianlake1928
Interested in volunteering for events and committees? As we come to the end of the year it’s important if you are interested in volunteering for committees and events moving forward, reach out to Kyle or one of the members of the board and we can get you connected.. Volunteers of time are a huge asset to the club and the more volunteers we have, the more we can accomplish to keep ILCC humming.
Improvement Projects Update
There will be some work being done on the golf course in the coming months to improve some items. Re-leveling white tee box on 7, the removal of some dead Ash trees on 9, the resodding of some greens. Please be considerate of our staff as they work on the course and follow instructions when things are marked/roped off and try to help our team keep our course as amazing as it always is.
A near term maintenance project addressing HVAC efficiency (driven by the sometimes warm conditions in the dining room) is in the process of being scoped and we anticipate getting started on it soon. This project will take place primarily in the attic and above the ceiling and is primarily focused on closing gaps, insulating areas that need it, and making some other minor changes which will lead to efficiency gains.
We would like to use the above project to jumpstart some improvements in the ceiling, lighting, electrical and more in the main dining area. This would be the “ceiling” part of the desire to update to the ceiling, walls, fixtures and flooring. More to come on this as the golf season winds down as this would happen over the colder months.
Pro’s Corner
Greetings All,
Welcome to September, arguably the best weather month of the year. Perfect for golf and watching football!
We still have a few golf events on our calendar so keep an eye out for emails regarding the sign up details. Night Golf is the 21st. We are also having a Mixed Couples Tournament on September 28th.
League play will also wrap up this month. The Wednesday Evening League’s official play is over, however, they will still be playing on Wednesday evenings if the weather is nice. The Tuesday Morning League finishes up on September 24th with Squaw’s Day. That day also marks the end of The Men’s Tuesday Night League. The President’s Cup regular season will wrap up in September with the finals in October. Regular and senior choose ups will continue on as long as the weather cooperates!
The Labor Day Sale in the pro shop went well. Thanks to all of you who took advantage of the big savings. There is still lots of inventory to look over so come on in and check it out. Remember that all proceeds from the pro shop benefit the club!
Enjoy football season and the best golf weather of the year! Go Colts (and Packers)!
Hit ‘em straight!
